Human Rights Policy

We, the BEENOS Group, respect the rights and personalities of all people and are committed to maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all.

1. Our thoughts on human rights

All officers and employees of BEENOS Inc. and its group companies (hereinafter referred to as “we”) contribute to a more sustainable society by providing an equal opportunity for all people by respecting human rights throughout our business practices. We have defined these views in our “Human Rights Policy” and will adhere to the policies.

2. Coverage of the Human Rights Policy

We will follow the international human rights laws as well as regulations that we, the BEENOS Group, have placed to understand the culture and customs of the countries and regions we do business with. Our actions will be respectful of the countries and regions and we vow not to violate human rights or discriminate against anybody. Furthermore, we will hold our business partners to the same standards to respect human rights and abstain from any violation thereof.

3. The importance of diversity and prohibition of harassment

We respect all people as individuals and will not tolerate any discrimination or derogatory handling of anyone based on their political views, opinions, religion, gender, physical attributes, illnesses, age, nationality, race, ethnicity, etc. We will provide equal opportunity in recruitment, evaluation, training, development, placement, promotion, appointment and create a working environment that maintains high standards of motivation for all human capital. Furthermore, we will not tolerate any discrimination or harassment of any kind.

4. Prevention of forced labor and child labor

We condemn forced labor and child labor as they both violate basic human rights. Our business practices adhere to compliance laws and regulations.

5. Management of work hours and wages

We have established work regulations that coincide with Japan’s Labor Standards Act and labor management agreements to provide labor regulations with appropriate working hours, break hours, overtime work, late-night working conditions, holidays and paid time off for all employees. Wages are paid directly to the employees based on the employee wage administration regulation that is compliant with the law in regards to minimum wage, legal benefits and exemptions, overtime, etc.

6. Freedom of association and respecting the right to unionize to exercise rights

We respect the rights our employees have to unionize, including their right to join the union or not, to exercise their rights collectively and negotiate in a more effective way. The Company will engage in a constructive manner with the representative and enter negotiations in good faith.

7. Secure the safety and health of employees

We are considerate of the mental and physical well-being of our employees. We are committed to securing a safe and healthy work environment and comply with all laws, rules and regulations that deal with health, safety and sanitary requirements. We actively improve upon our health and safety protocols as we consider health risks that any employee may encounter.

8. Freedom of expression and privacy protection

We recognize the need to respect and protect the privacy and freedom of expression on communication channels such as the internet and social media and we commit to refrain from infringing on those freedoms.

9. Measures and structures to respect human rights

We have created a hotline and an effective reporting structure for anybody to report any wrongdoings that would infringe upon the human rights of anybody. We continually monitor our business activities and assess whether any human rights are being violated. If any violations are identified, we will rectify the situation in a timely manner as well as implement measures to prevent the issue from recurring.

10. Communication

Measures to improve our human rights efforts to all officers, employees and external stakeholders will be discussed by the BEENOS Group’s Sustainability Committee in addition to increasing awareness of the “Human Rights Policy.”

11. Establishment and amendments to this Policy
