Position on Personal Information Protection

This privacy policy provides information on how BEENOS Inc. (referred to as the "Company") processes and manages personal information and anonymized processed information (collectively referred to as “Personal Information”) when the Company operates this website.
The Company recognizes the importance of compliance with the applicable laws, appropriate collection, process, and internal management of Personal Information.

  • The Company will comply with the applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and other rules pertaining to the protection of Personal Information.
  • The Company will prevent and correct unauthorized access to Personal Information, as well as the loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of any Personal Information.
  • Personal Information collected by the Company will be handled within the scope of the purpose set forth in privacy policy and the Company will establish and implement confirmation procedures to prevent the use of Personal Information outside of the scope of the purpose.
  • The Company shall respond in good faith to inquiries and requests for disclosure regarding Personal Information from you.

Privacy Policy

1. Definition of Personal Information

The term “Personal Information” as used in this privacy policy shall have the meaning set forth in Article 2 Clause 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (referred to as “Personal Information Protection Act”) and shall specifically mean information about a living individual that falls under any one of the following categories:

  • Name, date of birth or other descriptions contained in such information (all matters described or recorded in documents, pictures, electromagnetic records, expressed using voice, motion or other methods) that can identify a specific individual (including those of which can easily be match with other information, such as membership ID, name, sex, Email address, telephone number, address, nickname, pen name, date of birth, occupation, position, credit card information, purchase history, location information, and thereby identify a specific individual).
  • Contents containing a personally identifiable code.

2. Purpose of use of Personal Information

The Company will use the following Personal Information for the following purpose:

  • Name and e-mail address.

    i. To provide you with answers to your inquiries.

    Provision of Personal Information is your choice but if the Company is unable to receive your Personal Information the Company may not be able to provide you with the related services.

3. Process of Anonymously Processed Information

In the event of production of anonymously processed information and third party provision, the Company will implement safety standard measures stipulated by Enforcement Rules for the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

4. Provision of Personal Information

The Company will protect Personal Information and shall not disclose nor provide it to a third party in a form that allows an individual to be identified without the consent of that individual, except where allowed by the Personal Information Protection Act, other applicable laws and regulations; provided, however, provision of Personal Information resulting from merger or business succession shall not be considered as third party provisions.

5. Contracts with Sub-contractors

The Company may disclose, to the extent warranted in the confidentiality clause in any information security related contract, Personal Information to sub-contractors. However, such sub-contractors are not permitted to use or share Personal Information outside of its intended purposes.

6. Shared use of personal information

The Company may use the Personal Information described in Article 2 jointly with its equity method affiliates that are defined in Securities and Exchange Law (referred to as “affiliates”) for the purpose of use stipulated in Article 2. The Company shall be the administration manager of the shared use of Personal Information.

7. Oversight of Personal Information

The Company shall assign the following person as the Personal Information protection officer and instruct appropriate control measures of the use of Personal Information.

8. Security

Any Personal Information given on this website is encoded using the industry standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) to prevent any unlawful access by a third party. The Company will do all in its effort to protect and secure all Personal Information that is obtained and encoded by the TLS. All Personal Information is heavily protected by the Company through its firewall and antivirus software to prevent the access, loss, corruption, falsification, compromise, infection, etc. of Personal Information.

9. Use of Cookies and Google Analytics

  • Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information, which are sent to your browser and stored on your computer. This allows the web server to deliver a page tailored to a particular user. The Company uses cookies as a part of its services on this website. If you do not wish to use cookies on this website, you may not be able to fully utilize the services provided. You may change the settings on the use of cookies through your web browser.
  • The Company uses Google Analytics to improve its website’s performance and services. The Company is not responsible for the use of Personal Information that is collected independently at websites linked from this website, such as websites and services of third parties that can be accessed through this website.
The Company accepts no liability or responsibility for the independent provisions and activities of these websites or companies.
The Company advises you to check the privacy policy of each website.

11. Disclosure, Revision and Deletion of Personal Information

The Company shall respond to requests for the disclosure, revision, addition, deletion, discontinuation of use, elimination, cessation of provision to third parties and notification of purposes of use of Personal Information, withdrawal of consent in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws and regulations.
If the request does not meet the requirements stipulated by the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company may be unable to respond to the request.

12. How to Request for the Disclosure of Personal Information

If you wish to make a request for the disclosure, revision, addition, deletion, discontinuation of use, elimination, or cessation of provision to third parties of Personal Information, please complete the specified request form in accordance with procedures separately set out by the Company and send it by mail to the Personal Information Customer Consultation Service of the Company together with identity documents.
In the event of a request for disclosure, please enclose the service and postage fee.

13. Update of Privacy Policy

The Company may revise this privacy policy when laws or regulations are changed or as necessary to improve the protection of Personal Information.
